WWW.DFWVAPOR.COM - mod review - INNOKIN iTaste 134

Hello fellow vapers! Time for another mod review, and believe me...this is one I've been looking forward to!

I finally got my hands on the INNOKIN iTaste 134 from www.dfwvapor.com

This is the mother of ALL mods!!!
It's big. It's heavy. It's 100% bad ass! It's an e-cig, modeled after the m134 MACHINE GUN!!!!
This is definitely a (forgive me for this sounding a bit sexist...) MAN's e-cig!

Upon opening the package, I definitely knew I had a STURDY mod in my possession...

This thing is HUGE!! It measures 6 inches long, 1 1/4 inches in diameter, and weighs in at a HEFTY 8 ounces! *WITHOUT THE BATTERY!!!*  (That's HEAVY for an e-cig!!!)

The kit came with:
1 - iTaste 134
1 - iClear30 Dual coil Clearomizer with rotatable drip tip
1 - user manual

and 1 - "Beauty Ring" as it's referred to.
*This piece is attached at the top of the unit upon opening, and can be easily removed by unscrewing it from the unit!*
(EASY, once I figured out what the manual was talking about!!!)  :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moving on,
BY THE WAY........
Did I mention it was BIG?!?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To officially start off, I will first let you know a few technical things about the mod...

1) This is a WATTAGE only mod, no voltage here!
    *The iTaste 134 is adjustable to the following wattages by turning the rotating dial in the center:
      6.5W, 7W, 8W, 9W, 10W, 11W, 12W, and 12.5W

"Use lower wattage for low-resistance (ohms) accessories and higher wattage for high-resistance (ohms) accessories."

I have been told this mod will handle sub-ohm (under 1.0 ohm) rebuildable atomizer coils, however I have not experimented with this yet.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2) This mod supports ONLY 18650 IMR batteries (I'm using a 3400 mAh 18650 Li-Ion battery)
   *I recommend flat-top batteries, saves on damage to the negative port side from compression*
The battery compartment is well built and sturdy. (*Note the 8 Phillips head screws???*)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

3) A universal 510 threaded connector for all of your tanks/accessories

This means, it will fit Innokin's iClear10, iClear16, and iClear30 clearomizers, as well as all of your favorite & standard 510 accessories
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4) The "fire" button houses 4 color-changing LED's that are your battery power indicators.
Clicking the fire button 3 times will turn the unit ON/OFF.
The lights will flash once in each color
-- green, yellow, and red -- when turning on,
three times in one color (also indicating current battery life) when turning off.
*This "3-click" safety feature prevents the unit from turning on while it’s in your pocket or bag.*
As the fire button is pressed while "vaping", they will glow one of these colors...
Indicating:
Green = Fully Charged
Yellow = Half Discharged
Red = Charge Needed
*Full Charge*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The user manual states the mod also comes with these features:
Short Circuit Protection, Reverse Battery Protection Circuit, and also a 10-second cutoff feature.

The manual says (and I quote)
"The iTaste 134 is a microprocessor-controlled VW personal vaporizer that lets you easily adjust the wattage with a rotational wheel."

What the manual doesn't tell you is that this mod is completely and utterly AWESOME!!

It IS heavy though, I will say that if you are looking for a mod to carry with you to work, or to the store, this may NOT be a good one to pick up for those situations.

However, IF you are looking to make an impression, get noticed at the club, or just strike up a conversation.... Pick one of these babies up!!! You will be getting looks and getting noticed FOR SURE!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm running a SmokTech 2.0 ohm carto in my tank, running around 10.0 - 11.0 watts, and let me tell you, I'm LOVING it!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Head on over to DFWVapor and check this thing out! GUYS, I promise you will be impressed!

www.dfwvaporcom - e-cig mod review -- SMOKTECH e-pipe mod

Hey everyone! I finally picked up a new mod! (long time coming)

I picked up SMOKTECH's e-pipe mod from DFWvapor! I was hesitant at first, as I was completely unfamiliar with mechanical mods. I have never owned one before, so I was not quite sure what to expect. However, with it being small and compact, I was pretty excited about it since I have only been using my SMOKTECH Vmax.

Here's a few key notes on this mod:

1) chrome plated brass
2) 510 universal threading

3) 18350 powered (single battery)

4) Battery air hole in bottom cap

5) 3.7 volt output (fixed)

The "fire" button is located at the top (thumbside).

I had a few extra 18350 batteries laying around ( I use a VMAX, so I have spares) so I tossed one in and fired it up. (NOTE: I recommend that you use only flat top 18350 batteries for safety because I've found the button tops may cause constant output.)

I would also make a personal note here as well.... I wear ALOT of rings, be cautious of where your rings are (if you wear any) when you hit that button. I've arc'd the battery through my rings and gotten quite a nasty little burn from the battery venting!
(It is simply a direct metal contact button to the battery)

That is my ONLY negative view on this little mod!

I am surprised by the ease of using mechanicals, no buttons or menus makes vaping a breeze. It is a very easy to use mod, and looks great! Also the mod being pocket-sized makes traveling with it painless.

I have asked a friend of mine who uses nothing BUT mechanicals, and found out the output with a fully charged 18350 IMR battery is right about 3.7 volts.

With that in mind, I started experimenting with different tanks. A carto tank with a 2.0 ohm carto does not vape very well, as I am unsure exactly of the amperage output. The best results I have found is using a EVOD BCC tank with a 1.8 coil head and a 510 - Ego adapter.

I get a great vapor production and this little mod packs quite the punch for it's size!

Having been a pipe smoker in the past, this was my obvious choice for my first mechanical mod.
At $50 it is relatively inexpensive, and would make a great gift for dad or someone you know who enjoys pipes!

www.dfwvapor.com - Juice Review - Watermelon

Ok, so I picked up another bottle of www.dfwvapor.com 's Watermelon e-liquid a while back. You all know I like the fruity flavors, and this one is no exception. I have thoroughly enjoyed this e-liquid stand-alone, and also as a mixer flavor.

Stand-alone, this flavor will hold it's own alongside other DFW greats. The flavor is not subtle, but also not overpowering. At 70/30 pg/vg & 18mg nic, I get a good amount of vapor production (currently running this liquid in a RSST rebuildable tank, wrapped with kenthol to 1.2 ohm resistance, and running at 3.2v on my VMAX)

Flavor wise, you want watermelon, that's what you get. I sometimes (if I get a big enough pull) I almost feel like I need to spit out seeds! The flavor is 99% spot-on... which is not a big surprise from DFWvapor.

I thoroughly recommend you guys grab a bottle of this liquid if you are a fan of watermelon!
